Germany declared against any move to install new mid-range nuclear missiles in Europe in the case of the US tearing down the Mid-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, a key arms control treaty during the War Cold paintings.

- According to German Foreign Minister the nuclear rearrangement under which "obviously the most wrong answer" for the recent Russian-American disagreement regarding the implementation of this historic treaty.
- US President Donald Trump announced on October 20 that he will withdraw the US from INF, which was signed in 1987, and is an important treaty in the end of the Cold War. On the one hand, the United States accused Russia of violating INF, on the other hand preparing to deploy a missile deployment plan banned by INF to Europe.
- After the US decision, many countries expressed concern about a new arms race in Europe. Washington's key allies call on the White House to consider carefully the decision with INF.
- Meanwhile, from Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that America's accusation of Russia's violation of the INF to withdraw from the treaty was only an act of justification and that the US could not give any evidence.
- According to the Russian leader, Washington has long planned to withdraw from INF and allocate huge budgets to develop strategic anti-Russian weapons. Russian officials also announced that the country will prepare a concrete plan to respond when necessary.
